Support
As a member of APICS, you are
provided a variety of resources at your fingertips. Networking
is one such resource. Bev Simon is a chapter volunteer who has
established and leads a comprehensive networking support group
via email.
Bev has established a database of articles on career advice, resume
writing, interview skills, negotiating salary, employment law,
web sites for job search, and various employment postings she
comes across and/or are forwarded to her.
This is a courtesy for fellow professionals seeking work in the
NY metropolitan area. It is a blind copy distribution list so
no one knows you are on the list. Please note that she is unable
to edit the distribution for certain topics of interest.
If this is of interest to you and you would like to be added to
the distribution, send her an email with the subject heading of
TZ APICS Career Network Group with the email
address you would like her to use and you will be added to the
group.

Membership Extension Benefit
To assist our members who become unemployed, APICS offers an Unemployed
Member Benefit Extension Program. This program enables members
to extend their membership during their renewal cycle while searching
for employment. Members apply for the extension through their
local chapter, which must approve the request and waive chapter
dues. In addition, the Tappan Zee Chapter subsidizes the Professional
Development Meeting dinner fee for its members who are in transition.

As a service to our members and member companies, APICS Tappan
Zee Chapter provides information on open positions. No recommendation
or approval is expressed or implied by the APICS Tappan Zee Chapter
Board of Directors. Listings appearing here are at the sole discretion
of the Board and may be refused, removed, or edited for space
at their discretion without recourse.
If you are an employer and would like to post a job opportunity
on this website, please send your job description with requirements
in Word format to our Networking Coordinator, Bev Simon. Please be sure that
any links in your document can be accessed by individuals outside
of your company.
